Women's Soccer Coaching Staff
Jason Moore, head coach
Jason Moore comes to Bethel College after spending the last two seasons on staff for the women’s soccer program at NCAA Division I James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., where the Dukes finished the 2007 season 17-5-1.
Moore began his coaching career in 1999 as assistant women’s soccer coach at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, his alma mater, where he helped start the women’s program, compiling a 55-33-4 record over five seasons.
From July 2007 until Bethel hired him as head soccer coach this past February, Moore also served as the director of coaching for the Harrisonburg Soccer Association, which comprises youth teams from U6 to U18. From 2005-06, Moore was director of coaching for the St. Vrain Express Soccer Club in Longmont, Colo.
During the 2004 season, Moore was head women’s soccer coach at NCAA Division III DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa., during the 2004 season and was head girls’ soccer coach at Eastern Mennonite High School for the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Under his leadership there, the team compiled a 33-3 record, including going 18-0 during the 2004 season. Moore was selected Blue Ridge Conference Coach of the Year both seasons.
As a student-athlete at EMU, Moore was a four-year letter winner and a member of two Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship teams, in 1996 and 1998. The latter finished the season ranked 16th in the NCAA Division III poll. Moore holds Top Five rankings in career points and career goals scored at EMU, as well as the school record for assists.
Moore graduated from EMU in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in recreation and sports leadership with a concentration in movement sciences. His professional development includes a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Premier Diploma and an NSCAA National Goal Keeper Diploma. He serves as an NSCAA regional staff instructor. He has also been a staff coach at several soccer camps including the University of Colorado, James Madison University, University of Richmond, Clemson University and Gettysburg College Nike Team Camp.
