Gregg Dick, head coach
While completing his fourth season in 2007, Head Golf Coach Gregg Dick was named the Region IV Coach of the Year as well as KCAC Coach of the Year. He grew up playing golf on the family six-hole course where he spent many hours working on his skills and battling his siblings in afternoon games. During his three years as coach, Dick has seen the golf program begin to take shape with steady improvement in team scoring averages and the recruitment of high quality student-athletes. In 2007 he led his team to a third-place finish int he Region IV Golf Championships. Dick is originally from Moundridge, graduating from Bethel in 1987 with bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business administration and secondary education. He was a member of Bethel’s track team his freshman year and sang in the college choir for four years. Dick served as assistant women’s basketball coach at Bethel from 2000-05 and has coached Babe Ruth Baseball in Moundridge for 25 years. He is a member of the North Newton City Council, enjoys singing with his family singing group and is an active member of First Mennonite Church in Halstead. He also loves to run and can often be seen running the streets of North Newton. In addition to his coaching duties, Dick serves as interim vice president for business affairs at Bethel College.
