Cross Country Coaching Staff
Gerry Sieber, head coach
Gerry Sieber, who retired at the end of 2006-07 year after 13 years coaching soccer and teaching physical education at Bethel, began leading the cross country team and recruiting efforts in 2007. Previous to coming to Bethel, he served as head track and field coach for 12 years at Hesston College and as head cross country coach for two years at Tabor College.
Gary Histand, assistant coach
Gary Histand, who also teaches chemistry at Bethel, brings a love of running to his coaching duties at Bethel. This is Gary’s third year assisting with the Bethel cross country team. He is an avid runner and can be seen any time of year “wearing down the pavement” in the Newton area.
